The FAA Follies

All the FAA madness we could fit!

Apologies

Posted by Paul Cox on February 28th, 2010

It should be fairly obvious that the Follies is on a bit of a hiatus. I apologize for not updating anything here.

I’ve actually got two good posts that are mostly done, but held back on them for a variety of reasons, mostly sloth on my part.

Anyway, I’ll get at this site soon. Sorry to all. After 3+ years of blogging on the agency 3 to 5 times a week, I got tired.

How about your next post talks about ” what it takes to become a supervisor in the FAA” I bet that will get a few responses !

    Can’t wait!!

Everyone deserves a break without explanation, I for one am glad you’re back.

  8. Meanie FLM Says:

I disagree with Tower Flower. All absences over 3 days require a doctor’s note.

It sure takes it’s toll on a body!. FAA is too corrupt to be saved. They just don’t care and the people in their now at the top only care about their pay checks. What a shame that a once viable public safety agency has turned criminal. I for one blame the FAA, DOT and OSC for causing needless deaths because of cover-ups of fraud waste and abuse.

God will be waiting for them, I am sure

    farmingdale!

You should let people submit articles to you for posting, and then post on your approval. Will cut down on your work load and keep your site interesting while you take mental breaks.

I work for the FAA and just found this site…. I could have used it in the past couple of years. I have been so upset and cynical about my job lately. I wish I could find something that paid as well. I think I am there until retirement in about 8 years. I just don’t believe in the reason we exist anymore. We constantly say one thing and then do another. It’s all for show, so we can look good in the press or in front of Congress. Just so we can project the image of knowing what we are doing, so that the flying public also has confidence. I tell you, I am much less inclined to do a lot of flying these days.

Sloth is a sin Paul! Hahaha, I kid. Apparently Fox Noize has gotten to me…

  13. Tea Bag Scott Brown Says:

First the Main Bang shutdown, now TPCAU is closed. So sad.

I know FAA personnel that retired with physical problems because they were ashamed of their jobs and could not stand the cover-ups. They took it for years until the big retirement day. Money isn’t everything and the best gift any of us could have is good health.

I predict FAA will be changed soon. It is not accomplishing anything anymore!

The “safety by luck” agency was destroyed by the likes of SABATINI/BALLOUGH. Two criminals with blood on their hands if I ever saw one!

Thanks #11 you said it like it is…..but look around and get out if you can!

I hear you Paul. Our MSPB-focused site went nearly black for a bit while I fumbled with technology and time-constraints. Anyhow, we’re back too, having switched from the domain fedhallofshame.com to civilservicechange.org. Readers helped to fund a few upgrades here and there, and believe it or not, the Merit Systems Protection Board GRANTED a BIG FOIA request for detailed statistics, including records on Administrative Judges. You can see them here: MSPB Statistics by Category and here: MSPB Statistical Links and raw files

    Great to have you back.

    Sincerely,
    Charlotte

Just stopped by to pick up the mail and mow the grass, still nothing to see here.

    Your slacking.
